1. What is the central idea of your concentration?

- For my project, I shot portraits of a variety of young black adults, from the perspective of a young black adult. My central idea was to convey the struggle that black youth faces, growing up in a society that has a disfigured view of them. I used natural techniques (reflection, shadow, and light) to portray the difficulty that comes with reflecting stereotypes and projections that are forced upon us a society, living in the shadow of others due simply because of our race, and also feeling the pressure to be the one that changes this paradigm for future generations.
