5 Day Weekend Plan

Over the five-day weekend, I plan to get a lot of work done and shoot for both my film project and do a large update on my concentration. Film Project: - I am still debating on what exactly I want to shoot. I have already shot my dance class preparing for our show, but as this is most likely one of my last projects in photography, this idea just isn't doing it for me. All of my projects have thematic importance both in general and personally, and I plan on carrying that through to this project too. Concentration Project: - I love my old portraits but the newest time I shot, I don't think they are consistent with the original portraits and I believe I can take stronger portraits. I also plan to shoot the second half of my project/decide what that second half is.

Exhibition Review

Image
For AP Photo this year, we are required to visit an exhibition anywhere in the country, and write a comprehensive review and critique of said exhibition. For my exhibition, I chose to do a review of "Time of Monsters" by Dan Perjovschi in the Jane Lombard Gallery in Chelsea, New York. Perjovschi uses word-play, caricatures, and site specific installations to provide commentary not only on current political leaders and events, but also on the manner in which social and international media conveys information to us. Presenting his work in a satirical manner, Perjovschi uses news clippings as the basis of all of his works. Time of Monsters by Dan Perjovschi
